They compete to best themselves as much if not more than they compete to best others.” There may be no more appropriate quote to describe Barbados 20-year-old Chelsea Tuach, who at the end of the 2015 World Surf League season became the first Caribbean surfer to ever qualify for the Championship Tour, the first fresh East Coast face in the big leagues in nearly a decade, and only the second female surfer to follow in Frieda Zamba and Lisa Andersen’s elite-level Rightside footsteps.
